This is going to be a “Transfeminist and Anti-Racist” event organized by Graffiti Blue (USA) and Canuto Roldan (Mexico). Jump in and enjoy all these voices raising up from Jakarta, Ciudad de México, República Dominicana, Surabaya, Oaxaca, Sucre, Bolivia, Texas, New Orleans, Puerto Rico, Malasia, Sheboygan, Tijuana, Chihuahua, California, Egypt, India, Oakland and New York.

Sunday, August 30: Words and Music in the Park
3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Although we got rained out for the July event, we will reconvene (safely) at Peace Park in Sheboygan at 3rd and Michigan. From 3-4 p.m., enjoy the music of Jon Doll and friends. Poetry begins at 4:00. Come and hear from writers of all sorts (poets, prose writers, singer-songwriters) and be inspired by an afternoon of expression that speaks to peace, justice, and environmental sustainability.  Please bring a chair or blanket, wear a mask, and practice social distancing.

September 23 – 28, Read a Poem to a Child throughout the week. Details to come. 

Saturday, September 26, 10th Annual 100 Thousand Poets for Change

“Opening Doors and Building Bridges” virtual open mic. Details to come.

Thursday, October 29: More Poems about Water
7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
This virtual event, organized by yours truly, will bring together state and city poet laureates past and present from eastern Wisconsin together with several groups protecting local watersheds and Lake Michigan. Hosted by Mead Public Library and the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership.
