Wednesday, February 6, Playing with Poetry Workshop (final session of 3-part series. We rescheduled because last Wednesday it was -55 degrees outside.)

Poems are not just mysterious, rhyming texts that you had to memorize in high school.  Come, write, talk, explore. Rest assured, there are poems in you, waiting to be written!

Wednesday, February 20, Writers’ Open Mic
7 to 9 p.m. at MoJo (upper lounge) at 1235 Pennsylvania Avenue
Come to installment 2 of this amazing new reading series. If it is even half as amazing at the inauguration in January, you won’t want to miss this. This new reading series offers a safe, quiet zone for writers to have their words heard. Bring your work to share and/or your ears to listen.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Mead Library, The Loft. Join us to hear selected readings from this new book of poems by 31 different poets, sharing their dreams about the life and work of Vincent van Gogh.

Sunday, April 7, Poetic Pairings: How Poetry Speaks
2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Come to the Rocca Room of Mead Library and enjoy our fourth annual Poetic Pairings event, in which 10 members of the greater Sheboygan community will be paired with 10 poets. In those pairings, you will hear and see the magic happen.

Saturday, August 10, The Water Poems 
10:00 a.m. – noon. Come and enjoy poems on the topic of “Healing Our Waters,” on the terrace of Mead Library.
